What Is Online Roulette?
Roulette is one of the most recognised casino games in the world. The spinning wheel, rolling ball, and numbers laid out on the betting table make every round full of anticipation. At gan89, players can enjoy roulette in two main forms — the RNG version (random number generator software) and the live dealer version where the wheel spins in real time in front of you via a high-quality video stream.
Unlike slots, which rely entirely on chance, roulette gives players room to make betting decisions based on bet type, table limits, and their own playing style. This is what makes roulette appealing to players who like to analyse before placing a bet.
European Roulette
A wheel with 37 slots (0–36), lower house edge — a popular choice among experienced players.
American Roulette
A wheel with 38 slots (0, 00, 1–36). More betting options, slightly different dynamics.
Live Dealer Roulette
A real dealer, a real wheel — 24-hour live stream, chat with other players.
Speed Roulette
Faster rounds for players who prefer a higher tempo without long waits.

Types of Roulette Bets You Can Try
Roulette offers a variety of bet types with different payout ratios. Understanding each bet type helps you plan your approach at gan89 in a more organised way.
Straight Up — Single Number
A bet placed directly on one number. The highest payout of all bet types, but with a lower probability of winning.
Split — Two Adjacent Numbers
The chip is placed on the border between two neighbouring numbers on the table. Moderately high payout.
Red or Black
A colour bet — probability close to 50/50. Suitable for more conservative players.
Odd or Even Numbers
One of the most basic outside bets — covering half of the active numbers on the wheel.
Dozen — Three Groups of 12 Numbers
A bet covering 1–12, 13–24, or 25–36. Pays 2:1 with a wider coverage area.
Column — One Full Column
Covers 12 numbers in one column of the table. Similar to a dozen in terms of payout, but different in number arrangement.
Live Dealer Roulette at gan89
The live casino section at gan89 features roulette tables operated by real human dealers, broadcast live via high-definition video stream. Players in Malaysia can interact with the dealer through the chat function and watch every spin of the wheel happen in real time — no animation or software-generated results.
Someone used to watching Malaysia Super League matches on television will understand what it feels like to witness live action compared to a replay. The same concept applies here — live roulette gives a different sense of involvement compared to the RNG version.

A More Organised Approach to Playing
Roulette is a game of chance, but how you manage your bets still matters. Here are some approaches that can help you play in a more organised way at gan89.
Set a Limit Before You Play
Decide on the amount you are willing to bet in a session before opening a table. Stick to that limit without exception — this protects your balance in the long run.
Understand the Difference Between Inside & Outside Bets
Inside bets such as straight up and split offer higher payouts but lower odds of winning. Outside bets such as red/black or dozens are safer in terms of win frequency.
Try the Demo Version First
If you are new to roulette, start by observing a demo table or playing with minimum chips. Get familiar with the flow of the game before increasing your bet size.
Manage Your Winnings Wisely
When you win, set aside a portion of your winnings and do not put it all back in. Withdrawals at gan89 take just 10–45 minutes — a fast process that lets you access your winnings promptly.
